Master Duel Deck Profile: 8 Best Engines in the Game

Hello and welcome to my Master Duel deck profile! Today we’re taking on a recipe that has seen a lot of success in the Duelist Cup, as well as various community tournaments. Named ‘It’s Literally Just This Mess of 8 Best Engines In the Game’, shortened to ILJTM8BEING and pronounced as ‘Slop’, it’s a favorite brew of mine. I may bring it out to any sizeable gathering of players or when I’m just not feeling like cooking up something more elaborate. Here’s how to make one for yourself.

Use a Snake-Eyes base:

My grandmother, bless her soul, was a brilliant Snake-Eye duelist and left me the recipe for her Snake-Eyes deck. We will be using it as the base for everything else. Now, if you’re not a fan of snake meat or dislike its flavor after the unfortunate banning of Snake-Eyes Oak, you can replace it completely with Crystron. The newly released Crystron spice might make the end result even better, but it’s all up to your taste. Regardless of choice, the rest will follow exactly the same.

Add quite a bit of Fiendsmith:

Nowadays it feels like any deck can’t be made without the Fiendsmith gang, so go ahead and add them all in. Don’t forget the honorary member – Dipity, as we will need him for the next part. Just be sure not to open its lid!

Throw in some chunks of Primite:

The grindy Primite add some stability to our brew, since they are as reliable as a rock. The grounded flavor might feel a bit like licking a brick, but you’ll learn to love it over a long game. Speaking of bricks…

Add a few pairs of Blue-Eyes:

It was the flavor of the month for a reason. The reason was that the flavor was very good indeed! The end result will be chonky, sticky and very much layered. The semi-limits to the starters are no big deal to us, we can’t really fit that many more cards in the pot anyway. You might argue that Blue-Eyes definitely overtake the rest of the dish, so to avoid that we’re adding in the bare minimum of extras. If you enjoy the flavor of Blue-Eyes, you can add in the rest of the ingredients.

Get in a pinch of Bystials:

While we’re not putting in too many (as Lubellion will overpower the taste), just a pinch or two of the strongest Bystials will help out to bring the flavor out of Fiendsmith.

Mix in some Millennium:

Working great with both Snake-Eyes and Crystron, the Millennium pieces will enrich the base without bringing too much attention to itself. Oh, we’re not adding Exodia, as to not obliterate the entire flavor. While the packaging might look old, the pieces inside are quite fresh!

Add a smidge of Azamina:

While Azamina compliment Snake-Eyes the best, it tastes surprisingly great with Fiendsmith too! Go ahead and try it – if you don’t like it, you can always swap it out for a Mulcharmy or two.

Don’t forget the Kashtira:

I know Kashtira isn’t to everyone’s taste, but you can’t deny the strength it packs. We’ve all seen people serving up themselves a single Fenrir and calling it a turn, but the fact of the matter is – it works!

Finally, add handtraps to taste and serve on whichever duel field you prefer. Voila! Authentic ILJM8BEING, made without spending a lot of time (but by spending a lot of UR dust)!
